ZBrush remote licensing

Installing the VPN client (first time only)

  1. Open your web browser and visit https://vpn.lasallecollegevancouver.com.
  2. Enter your credential and click Login.

    Username: LCV + 7-digit student number (eg. LCV7654321)
    Password: Omnivox password
    Domain: lcieducation.net

  3.  Click download to get a VPN client software.
  4.  Once the download is finished, launch the installer (WG-MVPN-SSL.exe).
  5. Once the installer is launched, click Next for each step until you see Install button.
  6. Click Install.
  7. Click Finish.

Connecting to the VPN

This step needs to be completed every time prior to check out the school ZBrush license.

  1. Launch Mobile VPN with SSL client.

     
  2. Enter your credential.

    Server: vpn.lasallecollegevancouver.com
    Username: lcieducation.net\LCV + 7-digit student number (eg. LCV7654321)
    Password: Omnivox password

     

  3. If you are asked to enter your password as below, enter same password as Omnivox again.

     

  4. Once you are successfully connected to VPN, you will see the message below in the bottom right corner of your desktop.

     

    Also you can check the connection status from Task Tray as below.

     

    When the icon is green, it means you are connected to VPN.

    When the icon is grey, it means you are disconnected from VPN.

    To disconnect from VPN, open Task Tray and right click on the VPN icon. Then select Disconnect (Temporarily disconnect) or Exit (Closing the VPN client).

Installing Zbrush (first time only)

  1. Visit https://portal.office.com and log in to your school Microsoft account.
  2. Open Outlook.
  3. Look for an email from ITService with the subject “ITServices shared the folder "ZBrush" with you.”.
  4. Open the email and click Open.
  5. Download all the listed files.
  6. Launch ZBrush_2021.5_FL_Installer.exe.
  7. Click Next.
  8. Accept the license agreement.
  9. Click Next.
  10. Click Next.
  11. Click Next.
  12. Click Finish.
  13. Copy license_ZBrush4_1_1seat.lic to “C:\Program Files\Pixologic\ZBrush 2021 FL\Licenses”.
  14. Copy FloatingLicenseDLL.dll to “C:\Program Files\Pixologic\ZBrush 2021 FL\ZData\ZPlugs64\RLM”.

Launching ZBrush

  1. Launch ZBrush.
  2. If you can start using ZBrush normally, that means that you have successfully checked out the license from our license server.

    If you see this kind of error message, that means that your PC could not reach our license server. In this case, please check if you are connected to VPN.
